Aqua Nor 2017 Roundup
PanLogica and Aqua Nor 2017
Aqua Nor 2017 has closed its doors after four very busy days, with a final count visitor number of 27 110 visitors from 71 countries! This figure is an increase of over 30% compared to Aqua Nor 2015. Additionally, there was a robust increase in the number of exhibitors since the last Aqua Nor with a total of 600 exhibitors from 25 countries.
PanLogica attended Aqua Nor for the first time in 2015 when we had the opportunity to be a co-exhibitor. In 2017 we decided to take things up a notch and so this time we had our own stand (C-209) and were the only Australian company exhibiting at Aqua Nor this year.
Packing Essentials for Aqua Nor Exhibitors
Passion for your product. With 600 exhibitors at this year's Aqua Nor, there were plenty of stands to visit. If you aren't passionate about what you do, why should visitors stop at your stand?
Stamina is essential. Between the planning, traveling, setting up the stand, and then staffing the stand for four days, it's a marathon, not a sprint.
Comfortable Shoes. Basic common sense but if your feet hurt it will impact on your ability to make the most of your time at Aqua Nor.
Ability to deal with the unexpected. We underestimated the interest in our software, Neptune, so we ran out of brochures. This was an easy problem to solve (we simply made additional copies of the handouts); however, when planning to exhibit at Aqua Nor, remember that flights can be delayed, postage can go astray, staff members can become ill, and so forth. You have to be able to adapt and move on.
We had a fantastic time at Aqua Nor and we did our very best to make the most of this excellent opportunity for us to:
- Engage with the global aquaculture community,
- Meet aquaculture producers from around the world,
- Catch-up with current clients,
- Listen to their challenges and,
- Discuss how optimisation can help them overcome business hurdles.
Thank you to everyone who visited us at record breaking Aqua Nor 2017. David, Mark and I had a fantastic experience! It was wonderful to meet and talk with all of you.
Please contact us if you require any additional information about our optimization software Neptune or if there is anything that we can do to help your business realize the benefits of using optimisation while planning across the value chain of your aquaculture business.
PanLogica was founded in 2001 when Dr. David Wright identified the decision making complexities associated with the lengthy process of fish farming and created a software program, Neptune, that would make aquaculture business decision making more systematic, robust and time efficient.
We invite you to contact us for a more detailed explanation of Neptune and PanLogica.
